Thanks for the bump here, @milo. Beyond this seeming worthwhile to us or not, our interaction with GDocs is limited by Google’s privacy restrictions, which only grant us access to specific aspects of the API and documents. This is why things like line numbers and footnotes are beyond our scope - we simply can’t influence them in any way.

Thanks for the response - figured it was worth a shot in case it was not too hard. One day google docs will get their act together on this…
