APA style seems to be incorrect?

With two or more authors APA should use the & symbol for bracketed references. The word “and” is used only if the authors names appear in the (non-bracketed) text.

Correct:
…(Baumeister & Vohs, 2007)…
…Baumeister and Vohs (2007)…

Incorrect:
…(Baumeister and Vohs, 2007)…

The add-on seems to be using the incorrect way here.

Hi,

Is it possible the references you are looking at are blue? Paperpile inserts blue placeholders before formatting the document to the referencing style of your choice. If so, please press the red “Update citations and bibliography” button get the correct formatting.

This will make the references look like normal text, but they are still references which you can click on and edit.

Sincerely,
Jason
