Is it possible to set up an automatic alert to collaborators when any one of us adds a paper to our Shared Folder?

This would be a super useful feature. As it is, users of a shared folder have no idea when something is added. The only way to find out is by sorting by date added and seeing if there is anything new, but this is per folder and if there are several sub-folders it is impractical. The option for an email alert (even to specific users for specific folders and sub-folders) would be ideal.
