Return to previous page after clicking on a link

I think it is a great feature to be able to jump back to the previous location in a PDF.
Useful for jumping back and forth to references section.

Indeed it would be - but this feature was suggested in Sept 2015, and then several times in other topics

• Sept 2015: "Back" and "Forward" for document navigation
• May 2016: "Back" Button in PDF viewer
• June 2016: Command to get back to reading after clicking an in-text reference

but remains not addressed, so my hopes are low, despite the fact that @stefan said it was on the list to be fixed as of Sept 2015:

Yes, we need to include the clicks on the internal links into the browser history so that back and forward work as expected. It’s on our list for things that need to be fixed. Thanks!

I stand by my statement from Sept 2015 Some things take time and your hope should go up with time.

We have not forgotten about the PDF annotator. Actually the opposite is true and we just finished a major rewrite of the project which was necessary to make it fit in the grand scheme of things. That includes realtime sync with mobile and search of all annotations across the app.
