Watched Folder in Google Drive

It would be nice if there was a folder in Google Drive which, when new PDFs were added there they would be observed by Paperpile and automatically imported. Perhaps offering the user to review the imported items upon the next time they login. This is especially useful for people who might use other apps that sync with Google Drive, like GoodReader.

That is a good idea. As a new user I missed the option to have a watched folder that is available in other softwares.

Absolutely necessary!
It would be great if it was not just one watched folder but that if you add files to the a specific drive folder (if you use the paperpile folder structure to sync to drive) to add directly to the correct folder in paperpile as well.

Has this feature been added yet?

Thanks for the bumps here @Hauke_Sandhaus and @Gerome_Manson. The permissions we get from Google only grant us access to files uploaded via our interface, which makes our sync a one-way street since we are unable to read any other information on Drive.

Unfortunately this means we are not able to read or import PDFs from there. While our hands are tied in the face of this privacy-driven limitation, these features (importing from Drive and the possibility of watched folders) are on our list and we hope to find solutions for them at some point.
