Desktop App for Adding Citations in Other Text Editors (Ulysses + Scrivner)

I just posted in another thread and realized we have a separate thread on that here. This all takes quite some time as we had to cover the major use case for Word users first.

What are citation keys and how can they be used?

There is a reason why we invested so much in our “Word” plugin and developed it as a generic desktop app for Windows and macOS instead of a sidebar add-in for Word. The goal is to automatically generate and insert citation codes for use in Markdown (Bear, Ulysses, Notion, …) and other systems like Scrivener in a generic way.
