Hi,
I just downloaded one of my Google Docs documents, opened it in word and tried to convert the Paperpile citations to a word format - unfortunately leading to many duplicates. While Paperpile did not make this mistake in the Google Docs version, its Word equivalent generated an individual reference entry for every occurence of the reference in the text. fyi
Best regards,
Jonas
Welcome to our forum, @Jonas and thank you for reporting. That shouldn’t happen. After saving a Google document to .docx format, and opening it in Word, in the Paperpile tab, did you make sure to click Settings and Tools > Convert from > Paperpile Google Docs?
Would it be possible to share the documents for us to take a look? We won’t share or keep them beyond troubleshooting, but if privacy’s a concern you can make a copy, delete most of the text and leave the in-text citations — we just need to see their code. Please share them in our in-app messenger, or by emailing support@paperpile.com.
Dear Suzanne, thank you for your quick reply. I found another solution. Anyway, it might be a problem that I am still using Word 2019.
Best regards, Jonas
