I am a doctor doing a PhD in design. Specifically, how to visualise how doctors and nurses think. This means I need to access books, papers, websites, presentations, blogs etc. from many different disciplines–medicine, cognition, usability, visualisation, interaction etc. etc.

I really appreciate Paperpile–the ability to press a button and download an annotatable pdf and in turn, download those annotations in many different formats. Also, to have the iPhone app so I can literally find a reference souce and download it immediately. And the ability to tag and organise it into file/folder hierarchy. I use the Word plug-in all the time.

Most of all I love Paperpile because I do not need one iota of IT tech skills - it is all totally intuitive and web-based.
