Initials in in-text citation without double author

Dear Paperpile,

I’m using APA citation style and now there’s one author that gets his initials added to the in-text citation. I’ve checked other posts, but there the problem seems to be that there are two authors with the same last name, just different initials.

What if this happens, but there’s only one author with that name in my whole document? So there’s no distinction to be made…

I checked and double checked and tried changing the name of the author a few times, but when I put the first and second name back, the initials show in the text again…

Hope you have a fix!

Never mind! Of course I just found out after posting that there’s a book editor with the same last name in my document…

Glad you found the solution. Author disambiguation sometimes causes confusion even when Paperpile provides the correct solution.
