Suggestion: simultaneously add references to document and library

Dear Sirs,

I am using Paperpile to write several manuscripts, involving hundreds of citations. When adding a citation to a document, it would be a huge time-saver to be able to add it simultaneously to my Paperpile library. That would save a second search for each reference.

Two part answer here:

  • If you use the insert dialog you get if you click the “P” icon or “Paperpile > insert Citations” or the keyboard shortcut, the items you search and cite will be inserted to your library automatically.
  • You always can go to “Paperpile > View all references” and then import the items with one click to your library. You never have to search twice.
