Currently the filters in the shared folders are extremely sparse, it would be great to be able to filter a shared folder by Type, Has PDF, or other categories.
I there any intention to implement this?

Not at this time. There are a few limitations our shared folders have at the moment unfortunately. We have plans for a new generation of sharing which should overcome all of those issues. That includes that they behave like the rest of your library with the filters.
