When you are highlighting an ISBN to include in an entry, it often reads them as either an en-dash (example below)
x–xxx–xxxx–x
instead of
x-xxx-xxxx-x
This prevents the auto-update from working its magic on the isbn number. I do love the ability to fill fields from a pdf, so this is a small thing, the OCR does a really good job on the whole, but I think it consistently reads hyphens as an en dashes.
Thank you for reporting, @jtomei. Is this happening when you attempt to complete fields from the PDF preview in the Edit dialog? Can you share an example PDF so that we can attempt to reproduce the issue?
Thanks for sharing the screenshot, @jtomei. It looks like the ISBN in the PDF in your screenshot has en-dashes instead of hyphens, which is probably why it doesn’t work automatically, but I’ll ask the team to look into it. You can share the PDF with us by emailing support@paperpile.com.
