Bug in the PDF preview window?

I’ve noted an odd bug relating to the PDF preview window. With a small number of documents, it misses out some of the text from the cover. For example, this is the PDF cover when opened via Paperpile:

And this is how it looks in the PDF preview window:

As you can see, some of the text is missing! This is reproducible behaviour. I’ve no idea what might be causing it.
