When i click on the extension on a paper pdf and click “add notes”, no cursor shows up in the textbox and I can’t type anything in there. I deleted Grammarly plugin as well as suggested in an old post, but it didn’t help. I’m on Chrome and MacOS Sonoma 14.4.
Welcome to our forum, @aj2001, and thank you for reporting. It’s possible another extension (like Google Scholar PDF Reader) is interfering with Paperpile. There’s a known conflict that can prevent typing in the note box or searching for folders/labels in the Paperpile popup when that extension is enabled.
As a workaround, you can disable the Google Scholar PDF Reader extension until we release a fix.
If you don’t have that extension installed, could you please try the following and let us know if it helps?
- Go to
chrome://extensions - Disable all extensions
- Re-enable only the Paperpile extension
- Reload your Paperpile tab
Hi, thanks for the reply. It was indeed Google scholar PDF. Would love to see it fixed soon! Both extensions are essentials to my workflow ![]()
