I recently upgraded to Catalina 10.15.4 and noticed that Chrome has slowed down a lot and crashes frequently. As a result, I’ve been using Paperpile less.
Apparently this is a known issue since the Catalina upgrade.
Can anyone recommend a workaround to access Paperpile?

I am not on the macOS ecosystem, but I was wondering if you see the same problem with the new Microsoft Edge. You can use Paperpile on the modern Edge like Chrome because they are both based on the Chromium engine.
I didn’t know that you could use Microsoft Edge. So far it’s been working great! Significantly faster.
