With some documents the citation is being formatted (in APA) with the author’s initials, or sometimes even their first name.
For example: John Robert Smith is being formatted as:
(J. R. Smith, 2016)
or
(John R. Smith, 2016)
…when most other citations are being formatted correctly as…
(Smith, J. R., 2016)
I can’t see anything unusual about these documents but the citations are all over the place - even the same document is being cited differently. Have tried updating but this makes it even worse - sometimes changing correct citations to incorrect citations.
