When I copy from the web app using a selected style, e.g., “Chicago” or “Ecology”, it should copy the citation as <lastname, firstname>, but it only does so for the first author, and all following authors always will come as <firstname, lastname>. I’ve tried a fiew styles, and that error persists.
Thanks for checking and for the detailed note, @mluerig. The behavior you’re seeing is actually correct; both the Chicago and Ecology citation styles format only the first author as Lastname, Firstname, while all subsequent authors appear as Firstname Lastname in the bibliography.
This follows the official style guides for those formats, see: Notes and Bibliography Style (Chicago Manual of Style) and https://authorservices.wiley.com/asset/Wiley-Journals-Style-Manual.pdf#page=157.08 (Ecology citation style as outlined in Wiley Journals Style Manual, section 3.3.8).
If you’d like all authors to appear as Lastname, Firstname, you need to switch to a different citation style that uses that convention.
ugh, you’re right ofc - feel free to delete this useless post
