Copy paste from Paperpile into Google Docs results in newlines

I’m viewing files in the Paperpile viewer. When I copy text then paste into Google Docs, many (but not all) of the spaces are converted to newlines.

If I paste into a text editor, this does not happen.

Thanks for the report, @IanLangmore. Could you share one or some of the PDFs where you’ve noticed this occur, so we may reproduce on our end? This might be a known/expected thing but I’d like to make sure we’re looking at the same thing. Let us know.

Every PDF I’ve tried (in the new Paperpile PDF viewer) has this issue. For example, this one: Weather field reconstruction using aircraft surveillance data and a novel meteo-particle model

If I view it in Chrome, this issue does not happen.
