Welcome to our forum, @Brando! I’ve added you to the beta; you should shortly receive an email from me.
hello I am interested in the Ask AI feature, which I’m assuming is distinct from the MCP server. I would be interested to try both of them as soon as they are ready.
Thank you for your interest, @Jeremy_Levy. Ask AI is indeed a separate feature from the MCP server, which the team is working on. Please feel free to describe any ideas or suggestions you have for MCP here, and I’d be happy to share your input with the team.
You’ll receive an email from me with more details about the Ask AI beta.
Hello Suzanne,
I would also love to try Ask AI, would it be possible to grant me access? Thanks a lot.
Jan
Welcome to our forum, @Jan_Soroczynski! I’ve added you to the beta: go to Settings > Feature preview to start using Ask AI.
This is a nice feature and I would like to try it. Could you kindly add me to the beta user list please? Thank you.
Hello Paperpile,
I see you planned to launch an MCP server last year, but after a year, you’re now releasing an internal AI assistant. I need my own Claude to access all of the papers, because my company rests on research, and everything we do is automated by Claude, anyway.
I’m afraid I may move to Zotero, an open-source paper manager with an MCP server, so Claude can run my company appropriately.
Welcome to our forum, @Luke_Knoble, and thank you for your feedback. We understand the urgency; if your company runs on Claude and research, having direct access to your papers through an MCP server is important.
Our team is actively building a Paperpile MCP server and we’re aiming to launch it this year. If you have specific ideas or suggestions for what you’d need from it, we’d like to hear them.
In the meantime, you might want to check out our AI assistant integration, Ask AI, which we recently launched in private beta. Ask AI is not an internal AI assistant. It lets you send PDFs from your Paperpile library directly to Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI apps, where you can use your own prompts or choose from our prompt library to summarize, compare, and analyze papers. See our help page for more details: Send PDFs to AI assistants with Ask AI | Paperpile Help Center
To try it out, go to Settings > Feature preview.
