Would it be possible to get folder sorting on the mobile app like the kind that is available on the web app (i.e. by date published, journal, etc.)?

There are no immediate plans to add this, but it’s definitely on our wishlist with intent to implement sooner rather than later. Any further +1s are welcome.

+1. I am on one month trial and I loved the web app! But the Ipad app is missing some key features. Most important one is sorting papers by publication date. Literature review is impossible without sorting by date. It would be very difficult to make use of Paperpile without this feature in my opinion.

Thank you all for the recent input! No updates to share yet but the matter is still on our radar. At the moment we’re dedicating more resources to rewriting our web-app and extension; once a few major updates are (soon) implemented there we’ll bring novelties to the mobile apps as well.

Sorting folders by different parameters should be a must. Just like for the web-app…

and not only folders, the results of a search should be sortable too.
Welcome to our forum, @amdelaossa! Thanks for adding your voice here. The updates I mentioned above are finally close to implementation (check out our roadmap), scheduled for release before the end of the year. Once these novelties are up and running on web, we will be shifting focus back to mobile in order to work on this and other improvements
