Free version (the release of a free fully featured citation manager as a standalone product that works with Google Docs)?

It seems I installed the paperpile into chrome but still a 30 day trial version. Kind of confused. What is free now? Thank you.

The blog post is only about the new Google Docs citation add-on which is free: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/paperpile/imanmdcibgaflfaibbcmmkifdgllfopm

Paperpile itself is much more than a Google Docs add-on (see all features here) and only available through the subscription.

So can the docs add-on use the library in the paperpile after the trial? Or it’s necessary to search the reference online when inserting a citation each time. Thank you.

The add-on will still be able to access the library but you can’t view it, manage it or add papers to the library anymore. So it’s not of much use and you should not rely on it.
