Google doc sidebar only searches citations already in document, not in library

This means I can’t add citations using the sidebar. Interestingly, searching using clicking the “P” in the toolbar still works. Do I need to link my library/account to the side bar again? How? Or is something not working correctly?

I’m getting the exact same behavior. Did you figure it out?

Nope, still waiting for someone from Paperpile to respond

On my end, it seems that hitting the Enter key when searching from the sidebar has no effect, whereas actually clicking the search command does. Check out this quick screen recording of my attempt. Does clicking the button still not yield expected results for you, @Lukas, @Jordan_Rossen?

I still have this problem in the google docs sidebar where the Return key doesn’t actually initiate the search, but mouse-clicking on the search button works normally. Any solutions?

Nope, it seems that this is not an issue that has high priority for Paperpile @vicente?

Welcome to our forum, @snastase, and thanks @Lukas for chiming in again. I’m afraid we haven’t been able to prioritize the sidebar at all — our resources have been entirely dedicated to the new interface, which will be released to the public this summer. Once it is, it will be easier for us to streamline working on this sort of issue. Updates are planned for the “main” GDocs citation feature soon, so the team should be able to look at the sidebar as well then.
