I’m just wondering how to add citations after my manuscript is written. Looking at the new format of Paperpile, I am a bit confused to retroactively add citations. By this I mean that I usually leave place-markers in my manuscripts for adding citations after the editing process is complete.
When I add a citation to the manuscript using the new sidebar feature (as opposed to the old way I was used to) the citation is added at the end of the paragraph. I tried to ensure the cursor was placed in the sentence, but still shows up at the end of the paragraph. Even why I highlight the placeholder text I want replaced with the citation, it shows up at the end of the paragraph.
Any way of inserting the citation exactly where I want it? I think I’m missing something.
