When superscript citation numbers are used, usually there is no space between the end of the word and the citation number. In this case the spell checker underlines the word as misspelled.
For example:
example1 would be underlined as misspelled.
A solution would be to place a so called “zero width space”, but doing it by hand is tedious. Developers, could you insert a zero width space before the citation number by default?

I’m also currently dealing with this issue.
Welcome @Elliot_Hershberg to the community! Thanks for your feedback. I’m afraid there’s currently no automated solution for this as we lack the permissions to modify text in documents beyond what is inserted using our tool. The request has come up before though, so I’m adding your +1 to the topic on our internal tracker.
