In-citations using APA 7th

Hi there,
I am start using paperpile within Google Docs. I use the APA 7th style. Each time I insert a citation using the method above the in-citation comes with out the “,”. Example: Ray et al. 2024 and not as it should be Ray et al., 2024

Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you in advance for your support.

Welcome to our forum, @Ricardo_Ribeiro! In Google Docs, in-text citations initially appear as format-less blue placeholders, only acquiring the selected style once you click the document’s top menu option Paperpile > Format citations:

You need to click Paperpile > Format citations to apply the APA citation style to the blue placeholders. The unformatted blue citation placeholders have no comma: Notice the difference between the formatted APA citation (after going to Paperpile > Format citations) vs the unformatted blue citation placeholder in the screenshot below:

If you are using our Google Docs sidebar add-on, you will need to click on the red Update citations & bibliography button to format the citations.
