Include PMCID in reference

Are there any formats that include PMCIDs in the reference? I need this for submitting a progress report to the NIH.

You can use the “National Library of Medicine (grant proposals with PMCID/PMID)” style. I think it was created exactly with that use case in mind.

The “National Library of Medicine (grant proposals with PMCID/PMID)” style works well in Google Docs. However, PMCIDs seem to be dropped when I use “Cite” to generate Bibtex.

Is there a way to include PMCIDs in the Bibtex output from Paperpile?
