Hi, naive question, how come I can’t operate the full web app in Safari on iPadOS? I find the iPad native app quite bad unfortunately, I much prefer using the web app and I would love to be able to do it on an iPad. Thanks!
(for example on the web app in Safari on iPadOS when I click on the PDF button nothing happens, I can’t read my papers)
Thank you for your question, @plg. The Paperpile web app isn’t optimized for Safari on iPadOS, so while you can sign in and use some features, others (like opening PDFs) won’t work properly. For iPad, we recommend using the native Paperpile iPad app instead. We know it’s not the same as the full web app, and our team is actively working to improve the iPad experience. Our mobile apps are being rewritten with many new features and improvements.
OK thank you. I have to tell you (maybe you already know) that the iPad app is bad enough that I don’t use it, I attempt to use the Safari web app (on iPadOS) and then when I encounter a feature that doesn’t work I curse out loud, drop my iPad in a huff and storm off to find my laptop. My wife will thank you if you come out with a better iPad app

I’m the same. The web app is great, the iPad is an ideal interface but for some reason the devs have neglected the iPad app. Great to hear that it’s getting an overhaul!
We definitely haven’t neglected the mobile apps @Dan_Hackley. In fact, we’ve recently hired two dedicated mobile engineers who’ve been focused on them this year. We’re excited for the improvements to come and appreciate your patience as we roll them out!
