Literature Note - Inline in PDF Annotator

I am interested to know if the “notes” which is available in the reference view could be added to the PDF annotator view (perhaps as a right sidebar).

I understand that the currently available options include:

1. The PDF comment box in the annotator
2. The “Note” addition which is accessible from the reference edit list view

While these are useful for short notes, being able to edit the “note” that is available in the reference edit list - inside of the annotator - would be a major step forward in terms of academic workflow (allowing more serious summary or literature notes, rather than highlights and short comments specific to an extract from the source) to be done in the same window while reading the pdf.

Thanks for your feedback, @ashleyv. Eventually, we want to bring all your notes and annotations together in the Paperpile web app so adding standalone notes that could be edited while viewing a PDF and that are also available across your library are part of the plan.
