Some authors legally have lowercase names. Rare, but it happens. For example: danah boyd. However currently it’s not possible to have a lowercase name in the author field. feature request: low prioritisation
This is weird because I’ve never seen author name in bio section as in the lower case. Even I’ve never used lower case name in bio ever. It’s kinda interesting.
Thanks Sharon. I’ve not heard about this before but we are preparing a blog post about how complicated names can be and that’s yet another weird edge case we were not aware of.
To be honest, I was not even aware of that Paperpile actually enforces uppercase names until you mentioned it. So nobody has noticed before I guess.
Definitely a low priority, but I grew up in QA where we log everything we notice.
