Every time I cite a paper using the Google docs plugin, Paperpile creates a new reference for it, resulting in large numbers of duplicates. I was able to merge duplicate references using the following URL: Paperpile. However, those changes do not apply to the Google doc, which stubbornly continues to treat these references as separates. Please advise on how I can address this without needing to manually delete duplicate references; with how many there are, it would easily take 5+ hours to do this, which kind of obviates the reasons for using Paperpile in the first place.
Welcome to our forum, @Tim_Campbell, and thanks for reaching out both here and by email. Vicente has already replied to your message, but I’ll follow up here as well. If you can share a sample document with him by email where the duplication issue occurs, our team can take a closer look.
