it would be great if I could add a paper I’m viewing to Paperpile with one click or even a keyboard shortcut, like I can do with a service such as Pocket.

We have planned some major improvements for imports (in particular related to this: Assigning labels or creating notes while adding a paper to the paperpile library)
The keyboard shortcut is also something we are looking at.
