Following up on previous posts re OneDrive - In the menus in setting i can see mention of sinking to OneDrive etc, but cannot see a way to actually link.
The lack of OneDrive support is really becoming an issue - Corporates are now shutting down extensions in browsers for unsupported applications so I cannot use extension related features on my work computer now, and whilst I want to add my whole team on to Paperpile and get it authorised for company use there is zero chance whilst it is lacking OneDrive support.
With Copilot being essentially the only allowable AI in most corporate settings this is even more of an issue - lacking the ability to store files on our corporate drive, and use AI to work with them is unfortunately making have to evaluate other options.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts & concerns! I can share that Paperpile OneDrive sync is under active development (I’m seeing active GitHub merges with supporting code and infrastructure), though I don’t have an expected release date.
Your broader point is well taken. While we are working hard to improve Paperpile to work better within corporate environments (other projects underway: SOC 2 certification, enterprise SSO, improved admin visibility & controls), the devil is in the details. We certainly won’t be able to meet every organization’s particular needs, even with OneDrive in place. And AI further complicates the story (although we have, I believe, a pretty flexible approach planned that makes it feasible to integrate with arbitrary enterprise-specific tools and APIs).
If you’re open to it, I’d love to learn a bit more about the constraints in your corporate IT environment, to better understand whether Paperpile is on the right track to be a suitable authorized solution for your team. I’ll reach out separately about that.
