It will be great if the paper title appears in the toolbar. Currently, if I open a few tabs, I’m confused about which paper I’m reading. Anyway, too much space in the toolbar is a kind of waste. Thanks!

Seconded - this would be really useful. It can get confusing which paper is which when you’re reading several in different tabs. There’s plenty of white space in the middle of the toolbar where it could go as well.
We have this in the current viewer and have not brought it over to the new viewer. It’s something we want to keep though exactly for the reasons you describe.
Why does the title disappear in the toolbar of the PDF viewer?
It’s great that the PDF reader shows the title — clearly, users want this feature. And the developers implemented it! That’s great.
But it is odd that the title fades away and disappears. Why is it disappearing? Could we keep it displayed instead of hiding the title?

Thanks for the feedback, @slowkow. This decision was just based on wanting to prioritize a clean, non-redundant interface, but of course we understand it would be useful in many use cases. I’ve passed on your feedback to the team so we can consider it when next updating the viewer, which will be one of our priorities once the new interface is fully rolled out and running smoothly.
