Paperpile will not sync with Google Drive

My paperpile will not sync with Google Drive. I’ve tried

  • going to Settings > Data and files and pressing “Resync” - all that happens when I do that is a message “You Google Drive files are currently being resynced and cleaned up in the background.” briefly pops up but nothing happens (I left it for hours, and literally nothing happened)
  • logging out and logging back in again
  • restarting the bowser
  • restarting my laptop
  • uninstalling and reinstalling the Chrome extension

Nothing that I did fixed the problem. Can someone help me fix it please?

Welcome to our forum @Robert_Scarth, and thank you for sharing the details of what you’ve tried. Our team investigated on the backend and triggered a resync, but found that there is a file in Starred Papers that Paperpile does not have access to. Can you:

  1. In Google Drive, move Starred Papers to Trash.
  2. Go to Settings > Data and files and in the Cloud storage section, click Resync.
