Plugin for LibreOffice

Is there a chance for release of Paperpile plugin for LibreOffice suite soon?

Not at the moment, @Bartek_Luks, nor do I think we have concrete plans for this yet. We are currently focusing on developing workflows which I understand will favor users of other writing tools (like Ulysses, Notion) so likely won’t be considering LibreOffice soon. That being said, it’s not the first time the request comes up so I’m noting your +1 under the relevant topic on our internal tracker.

While we will not support LibreOffice directly as @vicente explained, we have plans to support any Word processor with a workflow of inserting citation placeholders and processing the document at the end. That will be very similar how we do it for Markdown based programs.

Thanks, @stefan, sound promising. I’ll stick to google docs for a while

As an academic working a lot in LibreOffice, I’d love to see this. Placeholders sounds excellent.

I would also love to be able to use PaperPile with LibreOffice either with a plugin or placeholders.
