Rebuilding reference list/numbering

Hi,

I have removed a paragraph of text that included some citations and the references in the rest of the document have not updated their numbering upon the removal.

Is there a way to rebuild the references if such a thing happens so my reference numbering doesn’t have a gap in the middle?

I want to remove a reference from my google docs document, but if I do that, the numbering stays the same. Is there a way of rebuilding the references?

Of course there is - Paperpile > Format citations is the command you’re looking for.
