Is it possible to remove a label from a specific reference in my library?
I searched through the forum for way to do this but couldn’t find an answer, I apologize if I missed it.

At the moment the only way is to use the toolbar label button and remove the tick from the label and then hit ‘apply’.
We will release an update however, that has a more direct way (you are not the only one finding this confusing…). That’s the super secret preview, we’ve implemented it just yesterday:

The preview does look like a very convenient way to do this, though, I’m looking forward to seeing it.
