Removing a paper from one folder but not another

I was wondering how you go about removing a paper from a folder when you have put it in the wrong folder. E.g. I dragged and dropped a new paper into the wrong folder, when I then dragged it to the correct folder it still existed in the previous folder. I could not see a way of removing it from the first folder other than the trash option which removes it from all folders.

Hi Adam,

look for the folder name on line that says something like “Journal Article, filed in My Folder and Some Other Folder” and hover your mouse on the folder name to see the little X button.
