Share bibliography between multiple documents

I am planning to submit a manuscript comprising two documents (main text and supplement) to a journal which requires that the entire manuscript have only one bibliography.

What I would like to have is the main text to have the bibliography, but for most the main text document and the supplemental document to share this single bibliography. For example, if I insert a citation to the supplement, ideally that would update the bibliography in the main text and the inline citations in both documents. Is there a way for me to achieve this?

Thanks for the query, @JEREMY_SCHROEDER. No direct way to achieve this, but we can brainstorm for potential workarounds. Would this bibliography be sorted alphabetically? Perhaps both manuscripts’ references could be accumulated in a folder/label to generate a bibliography from that, which could be inserted manually to the final version of the document(s).
