Support for PDF annotations

What I meant was to open the PDF on the web-based version of Adobe acrobat DC.

Where do I find this web-based version? We have subscription to Creative Cloud here at Paperpile. I just downloaded the new Acrobat and found a link to the Document Cloud on the web. I can upload a PDF but only get a very rudimentary viewer and I canā€™t figure out how to edit the PDF.

I totally agree. Based on the advertisement, I assumed that you get the whole package on the web browser. I just double checked and as you said, it seems that the annotation/comments is not an option on the web viewer. You might want to check with them to see if they have any plan to address this in recent future.

Side note, the http://www.metpadf.com/ link doesnā€™t open. And, could I get access to the bet version of Paperpile annotation?

Sorry there was a typo in the link:

Iā€™ve added you to our beta group. You should see the thread in your list with all the instructions. Itā€™s the very first beta so itā€™s still crude but we should have a much more complete version out in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you-

Hi Stephan, Please add me as a tester of annotations feature.

Iā€™ve added you.

Hi Stefan, please add me to the beta testers.

Sorry, I missed you the past couple of days. Iā€™ve added you now. Looking forward to your feedback!

Hello,
Could I also test the annotation beta?

Iā€™d like to be added to the beta group if possible.

@Vilim_Stih and @KWatson: Iā€™ve added you both.

Can I test the annotation beta as well?

Hi @stefan please could you add me to the beta group so I can test annotation beta?

Thanks, Alex

@tiflove and @phytat: Iā€™ve added you. You should now see the beta testing threads with instructions in your main list. Looking forward to your feedback!

Can I get an invite too? Would be great

Hopefully, these annotations will also be visible by Adobe Reader! With my previous experience with Mendeley (which I will never go back to!) it was very annoying to annotate in Mendeley and then when reading with Adobe nothing was thereā€¦

Yes. Please have a look at https://www.metapdf.com for a preliminary list of features. You will notice we point out standards compliance quite a bit because we think itā€™s very important.

Hereā€™s the relevant part, you see the same annotations in Adobe and MetaPDF (thatā€™s how we call our new PDF annotator)
