Word plugin not working on MacOS

Hello,

I’m using Paperpile plugin 0.8.1 in Word 16.101.2 on MacOS 26.0.1 and getting the follwoing error message when trying to add citation:

Could not connect to Paperpile. Open the Paperpile app.

In the plugin I see:

Open a Word document to add citations

I’ve tried troubleshooting steps, reinstalling the plugin, restarting Word and rebooting, nothing worked. Looks like the plugin and Word do not recognise each other. Is there anything else I can try?

Thank you for reporting, @DSS. Can you send the logs to support@paperpile.com so that our team can investigate? In Word, click the Paperpile tab and go to Settings and Tools > Send Debug Information. It should reveal a folder with a file named paperpile-logs.txt. Please attach this file to your message.
