Zoom via trackpad glitch in Paperpile's PDF Viewer

Hi team,

In the Paperpile PDF viewer on Chrome zooming via trackpad behaves strangely for me on my MacBook Air (M1). I can’t pinch-to-zoom by default (though the page sort of moves a bit as though it recognizes I’m trying to zoom but it doesn’t actually zoom in or out). Only after I press the + or – keys (or use the zoom buttons in the toolbar) does the trackpad zoom start working — and even then, it’s a bit inconsistent and sometimes requires multiple attempts before it responds.

This doesn’t happen in other PDF readers or apps, so I wondered if it might be something in the viewer implementation that’s blocking native gesture recognition initially. Any thoughts or possible fixes?

Welcome to our forum, @SamuelF and thank you for your question. This is a known issue with our PDF viewer, which we’ve added to our list of PDF viewer requests to be addressed in a future update. In the meantime, as you’ve found, you will need to press the + key on your keyboard to zoom in (and - to zoom out).
