I’ve started being blocked from Google Scholar on a regular basis. I expect this might be due to Paperpile. Could you please let me know if this is likely to be the case and if there is any way of stopping it from happening. The message is:

That normally only happens if you do batch jobs, e.g download hundreds of PDFs for references without URL or DOI. In that case Paperpile tries to identify the paper via Google Scholar. We do some sophisticated throttling to avoid hitting the rate limit of Google Scholar but sometimes this is not enough.
If you avoid the batch jobs it should not be a problem.
I’ve had this problem, too. Rerunning the search (“automatically fill in info” (or something like that, I no longer have access) can do this too.
