Has the option to manually create an item disappeared?

I’m using the google doc add-on and used to sometimes manually add citation as explained here. That option seems no longer available, or am I missing something? Is there another way to add a citation?

@Lukas, the option to add citations manually via the add-on only appears for users without a Paperpile account. If you have an account, items can be added via your library.

Insert citation manually

Yes, you can insert citations manually. If you have signed up for the Paperpile the web-app, click ‘Add papers > Add manually’. If you are using our Google Docs sidebar add-on, click the ‘cog’-menu and then ‘Create item manually’. After that you can cite the new reference by searching for it like any other reference.
