Tag within PDF Viewer

This is super lazy because it is only one click away… but I would love to be able to tag a document without having to leave the PDF viewer.

Perhaps this already possible, but I am not seeing it (I found an old thread here which suggests it maybe it is? Adding tags in PDF viewer)

Anyway, it is a minor concern, but would be nice to see if not too difficult to implement. Keep up the good work Paperpile team!

Thanks for your feedback, @DSR! Adding labels while reading a PDF in Paperpile’s PDF viewer has been requested by users before, so I’ve added your +1 to the topic on our internal feature tracker. In the thread you linked to, the ability to add labels in the extension popup while viewing PDFs on websites is now available:

I was just looking for this function myself - would be a huge help. (so +1 from my corner, too - thanks!)

Ah yes, that feature is great thanks, makes a big difference. To be able to do it within the paperpile PDF viewer would also be great as sometimes you only know what folder or tag you want to assign a paper when actually reading it.

Edit: Sorry, just saw another thread requesting the same feature (but also with notes) Access to label editing and notes writing in the pdf viewer
